Today we begin our journey into the opening chapters of 1 Chronicles, and yes, that means genealogies. Long lists of names. Pages of ancestors. The kind of passages many people quietly skip over. But before you reach for the fast‑forward button, let me tell you something:

 These genealogies are not filler.

They’re not trivial, and they’re not just ancient paperwork.

They are the theological foundation of the entire book.

 Because in Scripture, a family tree is more than a list of names; it’s a theological statement, and it’s a spiritual map.

 It’s a story of identity, covenant, and purpose.

So today, we’re going to explore the opening section — the first three chapters and discover why this ancient list of names matters for us….
