Chance of Storms | The Weary In The Waiting | Week 2

The holidays can bring so much joy, excitement, and anticipation! Other times, the holidays approaching can feel like getting caught in a torrential storm. Maybe it’s a storm of grief, of loneliness, or of anxiety. No matter what season, our lives hold a forecast of 100% chance of storms. In these storms, our perspective becomes limited, and we are often led to ask “God, are you there?” By looking at an account of a storm from the Gospels of Mark and Matthew, we see that Jesus hears us when we cry out to Him and that focusing on the truth of His Word rather than the circumstances around us anchors us to His promises and His peace.
