Jars of Shame | Hide It or Heal It | Week 1

What weight are you dragging through life? What are you trying to keep hidden? We’ve all faced the weight of secret shame in our lives, the belief that we are defined by what we’ve done or what’s been done to us. We all have carried jars of shame. The woman at the well was going through life, carrying her jar of shame, trying her best to avoid the attention of others, but then Jesus stepped into her story. Through an encounter with Jesus, this woman was able to see herself the way Jesus saw her. She was able to leave her jar of shame with Jesus and go forth with a new identity – child of God.
