Notes:
Luke 1:5-15
1. You can be righteous but in reproach.
It’s not because you have sinned or because you are worse then others but its an opportunity to for God to reveal his glory in your situation
2. Don’t leave God’s house or your service because you got disappointed.
2 types of people who left Gods house: physically and those that left emotionally.
Don’t leave the house of God; serve Him despite your reproach.
He is coming to take your reproach and all around will rejoice and be in Awe of you. They will say God has visited you.
3. Generational blessing for the life of faithfulness.
There are things you get by an instant miracle and there are thing you can only get by longevity and commitment.
Their life was in Reproach for majority of their lifetime but their faithfulness to God has not only brought them a miracle and removed reproach but John (next generation) was greatly blessed and anointed.
If you want to pass on generational blessing, you must establish a life-long commitment to God’s service.
4. “Unable” becomes “Able” through prayer.
Persistent prayer can do much.
I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me and heard my cry.
Psalm 40:1
The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power] James 5:16
