We need the power of the Holy Spirit for 2 reasons:
1. To build produce character of Christ in us

2. To accomplish the purpose of God in our life.

Holy Spirt is not power, He is a person and He has power.

You have the Holy Spirt from the time of your Salvation.

I. Start fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit.
Our salvation gives us the relationship but our pursuit of the Holy Spirit brings about intimacy. 

2 Cor. 13:14

Grace of Jesus. Love of God. Communion of the Holy Spirit.

To start fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit we must first see Him as a person. 

He wants relationship, not rules. 

It’s important to discover the leading of the Holy Spirit in our Christian life.

II. Be led by the Holy Spirit.

III. Be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
A. This anointing is already in you - 1 John 2:27

B. Holy Spirit comes ON the person and power is released.
