The Cost: Carry Your Cross (Mark 8.34, 9.30-32)

Among the many things it could mean, at minimum the one thing we know that "carrying your cross" does mean is this: 

Fully Loving, that’s Fully Dying, for Fully Forgiving

• Love is where it’s all coming from (From God & For Others).  
• Forgiveness is what it’s getting towards (From God & For Others).  
• It’s dying in the middle that gets it there.

For many of us forgiveness feels like death. Because to forgive, there is a death.  Part of you dies every time you forgive some’s sins. All of Jesus died to forgive all our sins. This truth should bring us to pray The Lord's Prayer in a whole new way. "Forgive us as we forgive those who have sinned against us."
