Pave the Way: Pave the Way (Luke 3:1-7) - Aaron Hale
It doesn't take long at family dinner or a drink with a friend to hear conversations take the uncomfortable turn. Usually, it sounds something like, "what on earth is happening in the world?" So much of what we've been promised by technological advance, political parties and scientific development is falling short. The world doesn't feel like it's getting better, it feels unstable, like standing up in a canoe.
Whether you have followed the way of Jesus for a long time or you're just now considering him, there is a path that all of us have to walk before we can experience God's good gifts. That path is redirection. In scripture, it's called repentance. In this sermon, Pastor Aaron considers the message of John the Baptizer. As the person who was called to pave the way for Jesus, John had one message, and that same message is needed for us today if we want to see God's salvation for us and for the world.
