Inner Circle: Moments on Mountains (Mark 9:1-9) - Cammie/Brian/Ed

What happens on the mountain doesn't stay on the mountain. Jesus had a way of getting away, and he took some of his inner circle with him. In this study on Moses and Elijah, we find that the moments of retreat (also called silence/solitude in the Christian tradition) provided both Moses and Elijah a special connection with God that would ultimately lead them to their powerful moments of leadership. Jesus is calling his people to get away with him, to sit with him, to experience his provision and to draw close to him in the solitary place.
