The Practice of Scripture: Listening - Lectio Divina and Reflective Practices of Scripture

An ancient ancient practice that’s been around since the 4th Century is called Lectio Divina (“Divine Reading”), and it’s being reclaimed for our time.  You may have already heard of it or have tried it.  The practice, as we’re receiving it from tradition, is intending to give us a little structure for reading the scripture with a slow - active - attentive LISTENING ear to the Holy Spirit.  Several readings, long reflective pauses between the readings, Listening for what the Holy Spirit wants to put on our heart through these readings of scripture.
