The invitation of scripture is to do everything with a singleness of heart, fearing God. Whether you're at work, at home, or anywhere else, don't just do things to please people or to get ahead. Instead, do it because you want to honor God. Scripture teaches us that we can't split our loyalties between God and our own self-interests. We have to make a choice: Are we seeking the approval of man, or are we seeking the approval of God?
